Right On Time!

Been a pretty low-key week. Had a good Christmas, nothing too stressful. Saw Ocean's 12, it was pretty cool. My time home has usually consisted of a span of 3-4 days where I do nothing, followed by 3-4 very eventful days. It's kind of nice.

Few days ago, hung out with Josh and his friend, Steve. We pretty much just jammed on his drumset and guitar while playing Halo 2 in between.

Couple nights ago, saw the show at Medieval Times with Heather and some of her friends, which was good. I pretty much know the entire story by now, and all the good food was making me sleepy. I paid more attention to the background music they had for all the different scenes, which wasn't that bad.

Last night was fun: had Sam, James (and his friend Louie who got drunk off his ass), John, and Sarah over for cards at my place. Sam lost a good deal of money after the first game. Myself, him, and James started a cash game on the side where he proceeded to lose another $10 as I helped out Sarah out-manuever a progressively drunken Louie until she overcame a chip deficit and won the first game, a nice $25 profit. She then proceeded to head home, and another cash game with the rest of us followed.

I was actually going to see Q and Not U w/ Sarah tonight, but unfortunatley she was not feeling well at all, and couldn't go. Ellen would be in DC, but most likely hanging out with her friend Paul, and I hate going to shows alone (though Q and Not U is tempting), so I stayed in. Bleh.

Tomorrow is golfing with paw in the early afternoon, and then I have a choice of either going to First Night or heading to a hotel party with Kevin E. Either way, I plan on getting my hands on some vodka.

My Christmas gifts rocked, too. They consisted of:

*Frisbee
*8 blank tapes
*3 Tom Waits CDs, 1 Sick of It All CD, 1 Hepcat CD
*2 Shirts
*2 Books of poetry

A nice haul, if I do say so myself. I'm going to go utilize two of those right now.

I'm Kevin. I attend Buffalo State College in The Empire State. I'm your normal teenager who's secure enough in his masculinity to do things some people may find a little odd. My turn-ons include long walks on the beach, poetry, and percussion.

I enjoy the music stylings of (but NEVER limited to) Morrissey, Coheed and Cambria, The Marleys (bob to ziggy), The Heptones, The Toasters, Pietasters, Queen, Luciano, Junior Murvin, NOFX, Mountain Goats, Rufus Wainwright, Death by Stereo, Passion Worship Band, Switchfoot, Five Iron Frenzy, The Darkness, CSNY, Virginia Coalition, Alexisonfire, Hopesfall, Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, MF Doom, RJD2, Kool Keith, Aesop Rock, DJ Shadow, King Geedorah, Why?, Bright Eyes, Wilco, Tom Waits, Talib Kweli, Neva Dinova, Beastie Boys, and even Jay-Z.

I enjoy reading The Bible, Dan Brown, CS Lewis, John Steinbeck (favorite author), Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Eugene Peterson.

I'm an avid poet (not so much anymore) and reader of poetry. My favorite poets are Stanley Kunitz, Alan Ginsberg, Tuli Kupferberg, Bret Hubinger (AACC Professor!), Walt Whitman, and Edward Thomas.
