We Shall All Be Healed

It's nearly 3 AM, and I tried going to bed before, but that didn't work out. I'm not stressing or anything, just not really tired...

Came down here, and finally got an email back from Sarah, who I've been trying to reach for a while. She's doing well, and is in the same boat w/ her boyfriend as I am with Heather as we all ship off to college (he'll be in South Africa while Sarah takes the reigns in Wenham, Taxachusetts at Gordon College). She claims the library is eating my soul, which is probably true. A whole summer without her advice and companionship isn't cool at all.

I went to play billiards tonight with some friends, and while not incredibly stimulating, it was enjoyable. Kevin Conner is a laugh riot, and he beats me at pool. Afterwards, we headed to a party where I talked to a guy who I hadn't seen since middle school. There was a lot of free alcohol, but I did not feel like taking a drink and then leaving at all -- kind of wanted to go home at that point.

It was funny though, apparentely everyone except me in Crofton knows about this game called "ba-diddle" or whatever where if you see a car with one headlight, everyone in the vehicle has to shout "ba-diddle!" the last one who shouts it removes a piece of clothing. I ended up with no shirt on with all the windows open at 10:30 PM (what the hell)

This Thursday night is looking super fucking fun. Me and Sam went out and bought poker chips this afternoon, and the Thursday night poker game is ON at Kevin's house --- featuring 4 current and 1 former employees of the library -- it's like some conspiracy. WHO WILL COME OUT ON TOP? NOBODY KNOWS. NOBODY KNOWS. Sam Shull, Brad, Tom, John Wrywas, and perhaps one more may join us. We're playing Texas Hold'Em, for the record. Omar may join us, I just hope he doesn't get overly-hyper, heh.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and I want to attend church in the morning, then go the Orioles game with paw in the afternoon. With any luck, I can see Heather after she gets off from work, and maybe we'll go see Anchorman, or maybe take a walk. Or do a nighttime outdoorsy activity.

I'm Kevin. I attend Buffalo State College in The Empire State. I'm your normal teenager who's secure enough in his masculinity to do things some people may find a little odd. My turn-ons include long walks on the beach, poetry, and percussion.

I enjoy the music stylings of (but NEVER limited to) Morrissey, Coheed and Cambria, The Marleys (bob to ziggy), The Heptones, The Toasters, Pietasters, Queen, Luciano, Junior Murvin, NOFX, Mountain Goats, Rufus Wainwright, Death by Stereo, Passion Worship Band, Switchfoot, Five Iron Frenzy, The Darkness, CSNY, Virginia Coalition, Alexisonfire, Hopesfall, Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, MF Doom, RJD2, Kool Keith, Aesop Rock, DJ Shadow, King Geedorah, Why?, Bright Eyes, Wilco, Tom Waits, Talib Kweli, Neva Dinova, Beastie Boys, and even Jay-Z.

I enjoy reading The Bible, Dan Brown, CS Lewis, John Steinbeck (favorite author), Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Eugene Peterson.

I'm an avid poet (not so much anymore) and reader of poetry. My favorite poets are Stanley Kunitz, Alan Ginsberg, Tuli Kupferberg, Bret Hubinger (AACC Professor!), Walt Whitman, and Edward Thomas.
